From right here in Edmonds, Alegría Soy designs and drives community programs that uplift local voices, celebrates cultural diversity and create spaces for connection and change.

FLEET
FLEET is a multi-year project that is planning, designing and constructing a FLEET of moveable studios for working artists.
In May 2024, FLEET launched a studio in Edmonds with Alegría Soy as the community partner. Together, we host a variety of community events, workshops and exhibits that centre up and coming local artists.
Black History Month events
For the last two years, Alegría Soy has proudly brought Edmonds together to honour the rich cultural heritage, history and contributions of Black communities.
Through music, storytelling, art and dialogue, we celebrate resilience, amplify Black voices and foster meaningful connections.
Edmonds World Party
Alegría Soy knows the impact of bringing the community together. Events, like the World Party, serve as a launchpad for future initiatives aimed at empowering our community while embracing and celebrating our cultural diversity.
The inaugural Edmonds World Party held in July 2024 was a resounding success, bringing together community members, partners and fellow grassroots groups from diverse backgrounds to celebrate our shared cultural heritage and explore opportunities for social and economic progress.
Connecting Lab
Meaningful change begins with dialogue. Alegría Soy and local partners, host a series of community conversations to create a space for residents to share their experiences, ideas and solutions — fostering connection, trust and collective action.
These gatherings help shape inclusive, community-driven initiatives that reflect the needs and aspirations of the people who call these neighbourhoods home. When we listen, learn and collaborate, we build stronger, more resilient communities together.
BC Cultural Day
Alegría Soy proudly introduced BC Culture Days to Edmonds, bringing community together through creativity, job and cultural expression. From lively dancing mobs popping up all over Edmonds to interactive events, we turned the streets into a stage.
